The kitchen is nearly done!

Just a few finishing touches – and that’s it.

We went from this:

Everyone helped tidy up yesterday.

No rest

The kitchen installers are here again today; they were a man down yesterday and are trying to make up time.

The kitchen is taking shape:

Foolishly we also decided that I should start working on the laundry room.

Out: dark wood

In: new shelves, a Victorian laundry airer and a big sink

Tiles, tiles, tiles…

Our next dilemma is what kind of tiles to get that will compliment the floor, walls and kitchen.

Here’s a photo of the finished floor and walls:

We want iridescent glass tiles; they will really enhance the light in the kitchen; especially with the differing light throughout the day and at different times of the year.

Hundreds of hours of music from as far back as 1985.. 90% of the tapes got thrown away..

Kitchen Part 3

Well Neil the electrician has been working his magic and moved lots of cables. The new lights have been installed.

Bob the builder- yes he really is called Bob- has been busy with the ’sheet rock’ and Mike the plumber has moved a couple of pipes.

A few layers of plaster and M and I can get painting at the weekend.

They’ve done a great job!
