What a monkey!

Maybe my memory is going, but I am sure Aoife used to have her milk first thing in the morning and then snuggle for a while in bed. Not Hugo. He does ‘power milk’ and then starts climbing. Every morning he pulls up on our headboard and then giggles.

I know I am biased- but isn’t he gorgeous! Look at his teeth coming through on the top.

Squishy face

Hugo was giving Aoife a big kiss. It just looks wrong!!

Hugo Martha Charlotte!

We went to Costco after school today. Hugo and Aoife were sat next to each other in a trolley and Aoife was looking at a book she had picked up. Hugo kept trying to grab it from her so Aoife looked at him and said ‘Hugo Martha Charlotte’ in exactly the tone I would use to say ‘Aoife Martha Charlotte’ if she was being naughty. I tried to explain that he had different middle names but thought it was funny and kept coming up with different names for him.

I was trying to cook dinner tonight and it was almost impossible with Hugo monkeying around. He is convinced that the cubbies are simply there as an aid for him to stand. He pulls things off the shelves and then grins at me.

After he got bored of pulling things off shelves he came scampering over to see what Aoife and I were doing. I was chopping vegetables and couldn’t see what he had got. Aoife told me he was playing with some paper.

I went to investigate and found him with sticky fingers- literally. Martin had left a glue mouse trap lying around. The mouse manages to evade it, but not Hugo. Needless to say I moved the mouse trap and washed Hugo’s hands.

We finally got dinner and Hugo was obviously feeling better as he was furious that I wasn’t giving him any solid food. In the end I have him some plain pasta which he gobbled down. So far so good.

Here’s hoping for a storm free night with everyone in their own beds!

What a night!

No sleep for anyone last night.

Aoife was unsettled because of the thunderstorms (admittedly they were bad and they did last all night). http://www.sltrib.com/news/ci_6804293

Hugo was under the weather with what is hopefully a 24 hour tummy upset.

All in all we had Aoife in our bed most of the night; we were up with Hugo the rest.

Aoife starts school today – so hopefully Grania will get some sleep.
