Green Bagels!

I posted last month about the awful red bagel for Valentine’s Day. Today Aoife and I did a drive through bagel as we were starving after running around at the park all morning.

I got home, put Hugo to bed and sat down to have lunch. When we opened Aoife’s sandwich they had made it on a green bagel.

She was distraught. She had wanted a poppy seed bagel and she said ‘but mummy it looks revolting’. She was absolutely right.

I called Einsteins to complain and they offered to make a new one for us if we came back. Unfortunately Hugo was sound asleep in bed already.

I managed to persuade Aoife to eat it. She thought it was quite funny in the end. I’ve no idea how ‘poppy seed’ got interpreted as green. It must have been the accent. How ridiculous though to make green bagels for St Patrick’s Day. What will they do next month I wonder?
