Announcing Aoife

This is a slightly editied version of the email I sent family and friends on the evening of Aoifes birth.

Grania and Martin are very proud to announce the birth of their first child – Aoife

Aoife (pronounced Eefa) was born at 4.56pm local time at Cottonwood Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah on Thursday 15th May 2003.

Grania and Aoife are doing extremely well – Aoife weighed in at 9 pounds exactly (just over 4 kg) and was 21 inches (53 cm) long. Aoife looks just like Martin with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Grania delivered without needing any pain medication using just hypnobirthing.

Pictures are online and you can mail your messages to her and daddy will read them out to her.
